Privacy notice

PetBuddy is a Singapore pet-services directory. There are no user accounts and no visitor database. This page describes what the site’s code does with data.

What we collect

The Contact form asks for your name, email, a topic, a category when it applies, and a message. It does not post that information to a PetBuddy server. If you press “Open email app”, your own email app opens with a pre-filled message to tez@apps4u.sg, the address shown on the Contact page. If you never send that email, we never receive it.

“Near me” sorting can use your browser’s location, in the page, to order listings by distance. PetBuddy does not send that location to a PetBuddy server. Google Maps or Places may still receive location-related queries when those features run.

Typing in a listing search stays in the page. If a Google Maps key is configured, place-name suggestions after two characters are a Google Places request from your browser, limited to Singapore.

What we do not collect

We do not create accounts, store passwords, run a newsletter, keep booking records, or take payment cards. This application does not write its own access log. The company that hosts the site may still record IP addresses in its own logs, which this codebase does not control. We do not send custom analytics events for article reads or for clicks on Call, Website, or Directions.

Cookies and Google Maps

PetBuddy itself does not set cookies. If a Google Maps API key is configured, the site loads Google’s Maps JavaScript API (including Places) in the browser for the whole site. Map views and place-name suggestions then use that script. Google may set or read cookies under Google’s own domains. Google’s privacy policy applies to that data. If no Maps key is configured, the Maps script is not loaded.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is in this site’s code. It only loads when analytics is configured. When it loads, Google receives the page URL, referrer, and some device information from your browser, and Google may set cookies under Google’s own domains. When it is not configured, no analytics script is rendered. We do not send extra events for clicks on Call, Website, or Directions. Google’s privacy policy applies to that data.

Retention

Clinic names, public phone numbers, and similar listing details are the directory’s public content. They stay in the site until someone edits them.

Contact messages exist only in whichever mailbox receives them — currently the address shown on the Contact page. This application never stored those messages, so it has no deletion job for them. How long the mailbox keeps mail is not something the code decides.

Contact

Questions about this notice, or a request to access or correct personal data, go through the Contact page. For specific questions about data retention or who controls this data, use that page rather than expecting an answer here.
